Did any one get their GCs WITHOUT getting the CPO email? I got PDA emails Sep 11 (saying that they have approved the I485 applications), followed by SLUDs Sep 13. I didn't get any CPO email or other notification. Should I expect the CPO emails and THEN the GCs, or just simply the GCs?
As I read through forums, I understand that there is no consistency in those sequence of online updates.
You may receive your cards without getting the CPO.
There is a chance that, your fingerprints might not be refreshed so you may be requested for FP - if such a thing happens, you will be notified.
I am under the impression that it is just a system glitch.

I am curious to know what USCIS actually does when they adjudicate adjustment of status cases. I know a security/name check is done when they have your fingerprints but what else? Do they use your social security number to look at your credit history or do they contact the IRS for transcripts of your tax returns etc, how do they verify information on your employer etc etc? Does anyone know what procedures/actions USCIS takes when adjudicating cases? Thanks...:confused:

This is just a message to 2005/2006/2007 PD guys. Please don't think that some miracle will happen and dates will be current soon, it will take its own time. Mostly for EB2 & EB3June 2006- June 2007 guys, it will be like a lottery if the PD becomes current somewhere in 2007 Oct-Nov time. Right??
So life is not always easy. There are people waiting since 2002-03-04.

As my parents,in laws and most of my relatives stay there. Not only mine, allmost all guys who are in the IV, they must have parents and relatives in India for sure. There is no other reason why I said India is great.
Someone asked me to pack up... YES, I will if nothing happens;however, I will be waiting to see the progress for sure. This is July. Let's have a look over OCT bulletin after 2 months and for sure dates will move atleast 4-6 months for EB2 guys and 1 year for EB3 guys. So wait, be patient, instead of doing all this.
Anyway, our turn will come sooner or later, so why to become impatient just seeing the JULY bulletin CURRENT and then "U".
Mainly this is the message for 2005-2006-2007 PD guys. Please don't take it otherwise.
In the name of thinking differently we have smitha, senthil1 , asdqwe..and these guys confusing this struggle / fight for us trying to get ahead of the line or as senthil1 keeps saying uscis/dos made an honest mistake and asdqwe..keeps saying we need to fight for legislation rather than wasting time with these efforts. What all these guys and their ilk fail to understand is most of us are pissed off about the way it was implemented and handled rather than the ability to file AOS itself. If we sit and do nothing is like asking uscis / dos to walk all over us again and again. Besides in US law whenever there is a gray area, the decisions are based on precedents. This means if they have done this now means they can do this in any bulletin hence issued. They can issue a bulletin in Oct 2007 and on Nov 2 say "oops sorry my bad wrong bulletin" . Please come out of the basement and face the sun.

If you can restart ur app in Eb2, you should be fine dates wise. Unless CIR messes it up.
Approximately 2 months for PERM and then you can file 140+485 concurrently.

Is it such a big deal that they cant even write a letter of future employment for me? i told them that they are not obligated to hire me but they are scared that they are trying to show that they are in losses and that by filing for a GC and promising a future employment they will not be able to show that they are suffering losses.
Why is it so difficult and complicated?
I am losing hope in it.

What benefits are they talking about here?? As far as I am concerned, H1B visa holders have to no benefits... we pay SS taxes, federal taxes, Medicaid, state etc. As soon as we loose our jobs we are told we have a couple of days to leave the country - even when we have been here for years. What an inhumane way to treat a tax payer.

I am going for concurrent 140 & 485. Can I apply for EAD and AP now? or do I need to have my 140 cleared before I can apply for EAD and AP?

I am also in the same situation. Recently I changed the employer. My new employer is going to file I-140 and I-485 using the Labor substitution.
I also want to file EAD and AP but the company attorney is saying it is safer to file the EAD and AP once the I-140 is approved. Can any one please answer this is true or not? Should I wait for I-140 to be approved or should I try convince the attorney to file EAD and AP also along with I-140 and I-485.
I have one more question which is if We do not file the EAD and AP along with the I-485 and once the priority dates are retrogessed. Can we file
EAD and AP even though the priority dates are not current.
I would appreciate the answers.

Guys do not feed the freeloaders by telling anything you are reading in the donor forum. Let these people help themselves by signing up for recurring contributions if they want helpful nformation about their EB2 PD movemement. We are still not meeting of our advocacy day amount. It is all because most people want free lunches. This needs to stop. The 200 people going to DC tomorrow are going to speak for you and me for yours and mine greencard. They are taking time off and spending own money for you and me. Nothing is free in this world. IV is also doing this for you and me and we are taking it for granted. Good. Initial Review can jump to CPO as it is literally a matter of 15mins for the Adjudication Officer to approve the case!
Up until last year till the pre-adjudication was restarted, almost all cases were first look to approval.

Chairwoman Zoe Lofgren one tough letter bring us to this point Or You may be correct but I will prefer USCIS say standard text to congress rather pretending nothing wrong happening. In this process, I get a case# and person to follow. She said if you are not able to get RN in 30 days contact me. She will make efforts so I get RN in 30 days(dreaming for RN, never thought, i will come to this point). Anyway, It's a process and better than lame excuses from USCIS. Atleast my 30 days counter started with painful wait. Last but not the least, even if didn't get any success with process, atleast I have satisfaction I tried and failed. :)
What action do we expect on our letters/faxes to Congressmen, besides a routine reply USCIS is used to. This is not the first time that somebody is bothering them in their leizurely work. If they have tons of filings all over their offices, how do you expect them to find your case out of them.

Secondly, even if it is released, we have no idea which categories and how much there will be a retrogression. Some categories may turn out to be not too bad. We will just have to wait and see. Thirdly, the AILF is seeking a legal remedy should this rumor indeed materialize. This lawsuit threat may or may not affect the State Department one way or another. We are all educated people and should have received a proper training to maintain a decent composure and not to lose morality and reveal weakness of the personality. Losing one or two days will not induce the sky failling down. Availability of July 485 filing is at this juncture depends on two factors: One is whether the July Bulletin will indeed be revised and the numbers will be retrogressed. The other is whether the USCIS and the visa posts around the world will be able to adjudicate all the backlog I-485 or immigrant visa applications in a very short period of time. Until the Visa Bulletin revision news popped up, the only factor that would control the issue of how soon one should send in their I-485 applications was the speed of USCIS backlog 485 application adjudications during the next two weeks or beyond.
