I have seen lots of people posting more than 300+ in this forum and never contributed a dime. If you ask they shamelessly say it is not mandatory to contribute. Everyone knows it is not mandatory, but if you are not self centred and stingy, you will feel to contribute at least once if not recurring after spending months on IV forum.

Take a look at option from Colorado State Univ Distance Education website. They have a MS(course option), where you need 10 courses to obtain a MS. Each course approx. costs around $1600. So, you are looking at a total of ~17k.
They will also waive GRE requirements if you give evidence of your experience in the industry which looks like is not a problem.
The degree certificate they give you is no different from the certificate one would obtain if one was to attend school full-time and complete the same MS course plan.
Some courses could be completed in summer as well. So, if you can take 4+2+4 over one year during spring-summer-fall semester you could be done in 1 year. I am assuming you don't care about grades, and hence taking 4 courses should be manageable to just get a pass grade.

I am facing same issue....need to get some money back from India....and there is no way i can get it officially without losing significant part of it. It is really illogical to send money to India for property investment just because we cannot get money back.....I am repenting doing that....
Whenever I ask my friends to do this favor to me.....all they say is they dont have money to send India (since they dont want to disclose their worth to me) or they dont want to send money to India since they know it is useless to send money at such a bad conversion rate.
If you can find some better way, let me know too.

Great job guys! Keep up the good work. The article has given much needed exposure to the problems of Employment Based Green Card Process and the plight of skilled workers from India and China. well said :) ..months and years are passing by ..it seems more hopeless for EB3 - I. for those who have hopes ..nothing will happen for eb3 till june bulletin ..even then it is a big if. all the world needs to get their green cards then all of china, India eb2 applicants will get their GC's ..and then when US loses all its charm ..and EB3 (I) applicants are in their 50's / 60's - they will get their stupid cards
I hope there's some movement for WW EB3. We go through CP and cannot apply for EAD/AD or so as we live in Canada and not in the US. Our only chance to legally live and work in the USA is that we will be current an get our interview in Montreal.
Our PD is Feb/06, do you think there's hope for us to get the interview this year ? We've been current a couple of times in the last 3 years but never got an interview. That really sucks !

I had a misdemenor and went to india. My case was dismissed while I was in india. I returned on AP at the newark airport and nothing was even mentioned about it..infact AP is considered the safest way to travel even safer than h1b because you are technically not admitted to US but are "admissible"..There is a difference

I have couple friends who moved to Australia 3-4 years back, they love it. they mentioned that they have already applied for citizenship. 3 years back we decided against migrating there because our PD was almost current, we are still waiting. :)

I think Immigration Voice should stop this stupidity of catering to a community that cannot split $20 per month.
I think most members feel that things were going great without immigration voice when we were dis-organized, without any lobbying power and without an professional help.
I think most members are hoping that lawmakers will take pity on them at some point in time, and start working on their own so really why waste $20. How much stuff can $20 buy? Why waste it on Immigration Voice. Why not take your wife to a movie for $20. That's money well spent.
IV Core: Stop asking for funds and get back on with your life. Dont you have a life, a family, a job? Dont you worry about your own jobs when you divert attention from your daytime job to this stupid website and activities? Why they heck do you keep travelling to DC when you are not even having support of 1000 paid contributors?
Just go and leave this community at the mercy of Chuck Grassley and Jeff Sessions.

My understanding was that once the 485 is filed, you go by RD. It doesn't matter what your PD is...

I don't think so. Your PD is still relevent. Only those people whose PD is current will get their GCs no matter what the RD is.

If any of these two wont show out in coming bill,..then I would say goodbye to IV..because all other items in bill were there without IV;s interaction....
Can somebody calrify if these options will anyway include in this bill..by means of ammendements...
We have been fighting very hard to introduce a number of amendments including the ability to file I-485 and also to remove the country limit. We have spoken to a number of senators in this regard.
While we have no guarantees that they will be introduced, one thing I can guarantee, we will fight as hard as we possibly could.
