Hello VDLRAO ,
People from June 2006 are geting GC means that USCIS enough visa so they started to give gc to 2006 candidates.. is my belief true. What will be date in new year's first quater for eb2 india ?
I don't think USCIS has any idea as to how much "enough" visa they have....They function randomly...so plz dont draw any conclusions from who is getting a GC now. It could be the last person filed with latest PD while everyone else waits for their GC!

Thank you all for the insight and advice. I wish the US greencard process wasnt a bureaucratic blackhole. I have been here for 6 years amidst the so-called backlog reduction and the stagnant retrogression with no end in sight. It is really frustrating. My wife being a licensed physician cant work. We just end up coughing up our paychecks to uncle Sam and the lawyers. Unless something is done soon about the legal immigration process, I can see the US losing out to other countries which have a structured system like Canada and Australia.

My point is Indians do not have the balls to do it. Forget americans....they can not even touch an indian MP. Every day lots common people going through this security check. I cannot believe there are 9 pages (and counting) worth of sentiments, because some lame talentless guy was subject to security checks at an International Airport. I'm someone who was born India, but never lived there - however I'd think there are incredibly talented Indians here in America and worldwide compared to someone who's used to blatant exploitation / sell out of Indian culture. US just elected a President who father and step father are Muslims. And that is great and the world appreciates that because it shows that this country can judge a person by his skills or character and not get stuck in bigoted views about muslims or other minorities. And we love this country for that
But when it comes to India, don't you think of voting for Rahul gandhi because he might have some blood of either a parsi or ('god forbid') muslim in him. That certainly should dis qualify him, shouldn't it. Nepotism is certainly bad but this takes the cake. Dont vote for him because he might be 10% parsi/muslim (I am sure you have not forgotten about the italian heritage but you can raise that later). But certainly criminals and perpetrators of Genocide would be desirable PM choices. Rock on

This is not fair and good idea. what about people waiting in line for years and invested their money elsewhere because of this green card delays or those who do not have enough money and job in this market situation. All of the sudden you are brining this idea. This is not fair. This is kind of buying green card. There is a investment based green card category available for that. I request you to go through that channel if you are rich. Not all employment based green card seekers are rich. Please keep that in mind.

Oh ya... you think the immigration fees in US are low. Wait till this bill takes effect and you have to pay 5000 dollars just to get a damn H1-B then you will know who charges more for immigration fees.

If visas number is not available on 3rd july, DOS has a right, under the federal law, to advise USCIS and consular posts to stop accepting and approving any applications and stop issuing IV at consular posts on any date.
If you need more evidence, browse the adjudicator field manual for 485. It says "unless any interm notice issued by DOS, visa number is available to all in entire month". Therefore the key is "unless any interm notice issued by DOS". If DOS issues notice to USCIS on June 3rd, USCIS has to stop accepting any 485.

Late Wednesday, rumors emerged that the USCIS may attempt to retrogress the July immigrant visa numbers early in July and reject I- 485 (adjustment of status) applications filed early in the month. USCIS has taken such action already with respect to the �other worker� visa category involving non-professional workers.
Visa availability is based on the U.S. Department of State Visa Bulletin, which is published monthly, not on a rolling basis. If USCIS cuts off visa numbers in mid-month, this would be a clear violation of Federal law and agency policy. If the USCIS were to take this arbitrary action, it would cause significant problems for applicants and employers alike.
If USCIS cuts off applications on a certain date in early July, this will most likely occur without advance warning. In that case, not all applications will be accepted for processing. Be aware that that USCIS will reject an application unless it contains certain minimum supporting documents. For I-485 applications, minimum documents include a completed medical examination and birth certificates (or secondary evidence of birth, which must meet specific USCIS requirements). Applications for dependent spouses must include a marriage certificate. We strongly recommend that I-485 applicants obtain these and other requested documents as soon as possible. Until further notice, please do not plan to travel internationally during the month of July.
We will work as hard and as diligently as possible to get I-485 applications filed quickly. This will require active cooperation by all applicants to obtain needed documents. Again, please understand that the proposed USCIS action is just rumor at this point, but if the USCIS takes such action, it will likely be without warning. Further, it is possible that there could be retroactive rejections of applications once filed. Unfortunately, this is all we know at this time. The logic is that you are 'putting down roots' by buying a house. If all it takes is proof of closing a mortgage, one could always turn around and sell the house. somethng like that would undermine the credibility of IV in the medium/long run.
I had initially advocated treating first time home buying as the same as marriage to an American citizen. In my opinion, that is a short,sweet,simple and sensible approach to follow that will also resonate/stick in lawmakers minds (rather than a long,rambling letter, no offense meant to the writers, it was quite well put together).

I'm tired and extremely frustrated. Maybe this country does NOT need

We are not here to do justice. We are all here for our self-interests.
I am eating 3 times a day and looking for the fourth meal. Meanwhile there is a bunch hanging around the kitchen looking for atleast 1 meal a day. The food supply is limited. If i join with those , i might be in a situation of 2 meals a day. Even though justice is done with respect to whole lot, there was some injustice to me. What is then the incentive to work with IV ? Wasn't that the tone of question ?

While we must pursue the overall reforms,
i suggest that we also seek temporary relief seeking lifting of the ban on filing for 485 for the next 2-3 months... this will help most EB3 and EB2 (I/C/) who missed the 2007 window.
What are the chances of such a relief being provided?
Will a mail campaign work?..plz raise your hand if you are interested..;)
