If USCIS is providing spillover visas to EB2 in May, shouldn't the PDs of China and India (countries with most demand) have the same PDs in May VB? Doesn't this also mean that in the worst case the PD of EB2 India will be Jul 22 2006 (the current PD of China) in May VB?

Vonage won't affect any wireless connections.
Do you use a cordless phone ?
The wireless transmission from your cordless phone maybe affecting the transmissions from your wireless router.
Yeah, am using a cordless phone. I dont remember but even with corded phone I guess I had this issue. And the cordless phone is DECT 6 phone which shouldn't interfere with the wireless connection that is at a different frequency.
And what alternatives do you feel could solve this problem?

May be but when I do the math the benefit of getting GC in time outweighs the pain taken now.

It is amazing that how these people are ready to spend tons of money and time for such selfish causes.
And how do you know , I have not?
If this kind of enthusiasm is displayed on IV action items and contributions then there would be better chances of achieving the goals of this community.
What damage can it cause to others, I am the victim here...
But, if you are so hell bent on putting your GC first, irrespective of the damage to the cause of the community, if you are so mad about yourself.. why do you care about polling.. Go alone.. just focus on "you and your GC" .. achieve something alone.. You can then keep all the benefits to yourself.. all yours..Go ahead!
There are no supportes only plaintiffs.
Just like your campaign, the fundamentals on which you run it, cannot be trusted.. because if it suits you, you'll sell you supporter's interests for your own GC.

EB3 india gets only 2803 per year with350 of those going to OW. How did you arrive at the figure.

Lets say DOS revises bulletin on july 2, does that mean applications recieved on july 2 are accepted and all applications recieved after 2 will be rejected or will USCIS reject all applications recieved on july 2 also.

if a change in interpretation is done intentionally, then USCIS admits they were allotting visas incorrectly during the previous years...if it were a public company, lawyers would be climbing over one another to file a class action suit...unfortunately all we can do is write letters, make phone calls and pray :rolleyes:

I am expecting the Dates for EB2 Inidia and China will move to Dec 2006 in May with 12k Spill over.
So if we get about 30k more for this whole fiscal year, assuming:
From EB1: 10K more
From EB4 and EB5: About 10K
From EB2 ROW: About 10K
Then EB2 I/C will move about 12 months ahead. That means the cutoff date would be around Jan2008 by Aug/Sep 2011. This is the best case scenario.
If we get only 20k more for this whole fiscal year,
Then EB2 I/C will move about 8 to 9 months ahead. That means the cutoff date would be around Jul 2007 by Aug/Sep 2011. This is the worst case scenario.
This is just my estimation/guestimation.

Yes you can -when you were eligible for the EB2 filing at the time of filing for EB3!
Why would someone do that u ask? Please call my employer and ask him this question. The answer is - so that you are stuck with him for few more years.
I am in the same boat. My employer decided to file my case under EB3. For that, even the job position was in such a way that required only EB3. I had 7 years experience at that time. So it could have been EB2. That is fine, I am not sad about it.
My question is, since the original position had requirements that met EB3 and not EB2, how can you now justify moving to EB2 within the same company and for the same position?

I do not remember the predictions of last year but the fact is , last year it jumped from Jan 2005 (in Feb/March) to May 2006 (in September). That definitely is a BIG movement.
You are absolutely right. More precisely, last year with a grant of >19000 visas EB2 India PD jumped an impressive ~450 days. This year's available visa is not definitely known but is for sure >9000 and may be as much as ~36000. Just keep those numbers in memory. And we wait on...

Get over with it bunch of whiny losers. Someone can can and is willing to do the job cheaper than you.
Think from your client's perspective:
1. Why should he pay you more if he can get someone for cheaper price?
2. Are you willing to do the same job for the salary that is offered by TCS, WIPRO?
3. If you screw up , who is responsible? What can you do to mitigate damage? TCS/WIPRO can replace the whole team at free of cost to make project successful.
4. YOU guys want to leave companies at will but the companies should not replace you at will?
If you were bringing in value to the client that they cant get from TCS/WIPRO then you will have the job. Get some more skills, be best in the business and be smart. Know what it takes for long term success. You have to be on your toes all the time.
STOP whining, you are just wasting time. All the best!

what you said is quite possible; though the person seem to be aware of vonage deal and was little worried of possible impact on teleblend's business. (They have $49.99 unlimited India plan - simply doesn't make any sense now...) I am calling them now, Again. Usually teleblend offers good quality services at lower price than vonage or lingo. If they don't come up with a good solution, I will move to vonage by this weekend.

So for EB-3 we have 1630 from 01, and 8300 from 02 and 12500 from 03..how long would this take to clear given EB 3 allotment??. every year??.

Landed in this country on Aug-16-1997 for Masters. Today myself and my wife both got CPO mail/text message. Thanks IV community and good luck to all. I will be doing my part to make this system better!!!

Aug 16, 8:30 am - Dependent SR
Aug 16, 9:30 am - Called the customer service for primary's status - got the standard response that they sent a mail (which i didn't get) asking me to wait for 60 days.
Aug 16, 10:15 am - Wife called me to inform the good news, the online status change.
Aug 16, 10:18 am - got the text message (which just said "check your status online").
Aug 16: Got the CPO mail (time stamped 10:18am)
Guys (and Gals), Hang in there and you will have your independence soon.
