That's the only fair thing to do, for us suckers as well as for the illegals. And the lawmakers anyway have to create the perception that illegals are being "punished" in some form (In this case, by having a greater number of years)
The other option is to state, that they can apply but they wont get processed (approved) until all the other applicants in the legal categories are processed first. Given the size of the illegal community, they will start pushing the USCIS through their morchas, etc to process faster and the legals can benefit as a result.
If the amnesty bill passes, you are better off pointing immigration violation and perhaps tearing you passport and claiming being illegal

Delivered July 2 @9:01am Fedex,
I spoke to a IO from Nebraska center ,they said my data is not in the system.She said no memo has been issued how to process the July 2nd cases,but they will process all the other cases according to VB 107.when i asked more she said she cannot give me any more information i asked her should i resubmit , she did not comment on that i was totally surprised when i asked her when the cheque will be cashed she said october, I again asked her and told her it is not for H1 b it is for I 485 again she said october.Did you any of you guys call the USCIS ??

They obtained authorization to file the lawsuit. They had it prepared to file and received good response from possible plaintiffs. It was possibility of good strong case by AILA that deterred USCIS to reverse the decision without a formal lawsuit. This is exactly what we need to further our cause. USCIS could care less about other petty tricks. They will only understand language of laws/court. For that we need congress to pass laws favoring us.
Our decision to send flowers was initiated around 2-3 July and the first of flowers were booked to be sent the same day.

We could take the suggestions of other IV members, may be sending a letter is not a bad idea with some extra postage stamps to help out the USPS since they also reduced some of their services due to funding issues. How about sending few $$ donations to the military fund any public fund to be used to spending.
We need to consolidate all these threads in to a single one and start working on it and quickly.

Why do we even have to ask about Jul 2nd acceptance. I feel if you ask them they deliberately try to misguide you. Isnt the day Jul 2 a part of July month?? Since the previous July bulletin has be reinstated, in fact people who filed on Jul 2 should be at the top of the list in terms of getting receipt notices etc...

Can the wire transfer be requested online using ICICI's(or HDFC's) website ? Or do you need personnally do it from India ?
In my case, the request was processed at the local branch. I don't recall seeing an option on ICICI to do the wire transfer. But assuming there is, you should give that a shot. You might have better luck at the branch though .... RBI has the so called KYC - Know Your Customer rules for all banks and that may give you some leeway.

Hi Gurus,
I am in a unique situation and your valuable advice is highly appreciated. I worked for company A for 3 years and filed my 140 and 485(july 2007). I quit the company in may this year and joined another company. My 140 was approved on 06/16/2006. recently my previous employer revoked my I-140. I got a notice from USCIS that my I-140 and I-485 has been withdrawn. As per my new attorney since i meet all the conditions for job porting (180 days, 140 approved, and same job profile), no one else other than me can withdraw my I-485 application. my attorney filed an MTR today. Can i work while my MTR is pending. Is Withdrawal acknowledgement notice is same as denial notice ? please help

Also I noticed that people who have filed before the PERM process are really suffering. There are people who are in EB3, waiting for more than 9-10 years, keeping hope and anxiously waiting.
I feel that we should write to USCIS to clear all the pending GC�s (EB2, EB3) filed before PERM (March 31, 2005) need to be processed before they take up any cases filed in PERM.
This will certainly make the process rational.
Why don't we all campaign to ask for a time out on all immigration. Just stop all immigration until it is fixed. :D:D

I recommend every one writing their own words rather than doing the copy/paste. If I were to recieve 10 emails with exactly the same content, it might make me feel like some ONE just sent 10 diff emails. IMHO, Its a good idea to write the gist of the story in your own words. 1. If I moved permanently to India , will it be applicable there too. Yes
2. H1 candidate eligible. Yes
only NYlife given me in written. rest of them didn't give in written. metlife I didn't try.
I have 20 yr term disability and termlife insurance also.They added $52 for disability.
few of them told me yes verbally but hesitate to give in written.
