Getting Bernanke/media support will never be an alternative to IV efforts. They will, at best, complement it.

I opted for the CP option as well. My I-140 was approved in Oct 06 and thats when my attorney received the package for Consular processing from NVC.
Although my PD is not current yet, my lawyer asked me to pay the fees so that they can send the packet back to NVC. I am not sure what to do as my PD is not current yet.
How the hell did you get packet 3 from the NVC before you PD was current.??

Ya know what? I am so SICK AND TIRED of our lawmakers bowing down to those illegals, who don't contribute anything to our society. That's right, NOTHING. They steal the jobs that Americans WANT to do, and our lawmakers just bend over and lick their boots!
I married an Indian here on H1-B and it's been two years since we've filed for his greencard. Do you think we've heard anything yet? Only thing we know for sure is that we are getting shafted for following the letter of the law while Elvira (vampire) arellano is sitting up in that pile of crap called a church, with politicians like Barack Obama slobbering all over her. Where are these same politicos when we FOLLOW the law??
Yes I am plenty angry over the whole mess, but what I really wonder is why don't we (the TRUE immigrant families) do the same as the illegals and go out and PROTEST this new amnesty?? Could it be we are too busy working and contributing to society?
Either way, I think we had better get out and do some protesting of our own. After all, illegals are ALIENS, NOT IMMIGRANTS. How dare they steal our Immigrant moniker from us!

however, is it possible to have a couple of more important/relevant threads always on the top (maybe top 3-5 slots reserved), so that these important threads (like LIVE updates, Media drive, Contribution to IV) don't get lost (more often in some trivia being discussed).
also, as new members are logging to this group, they should be gently reminded that free lunch often upsets the stomach, so even a small/any contribution would help them feel better ;)

Try to respect others and feel sorry about their situation.
I feel sorry for the people who live in slums of dharavi but not for people who should not have been in the US in the first place (based on their education) and are now finding ways to get ahead of the legit EB2 candidates by buying masters degrees.
